Our Services

Vista Financial offers a free service to help you understand your options under the Medicare Program. As an independent firm, we do not work for the insurance companies, but represent many of the companies and the plans that they offer. Our job is to explain how Medicare works and what options are available to you as you enroll. You will be educated on the benefits of each of the several options available to you. We do all the leg work including finding the best rates for your coverage. We check doctors, prescriptions, and assist you through the enrollment process.

Our value doesn’t end after your enrollment. When working with us, you will work with the same Medicare advisor each and every time, giving you personalized service to accommodate your needs. We are always available to you for any problems or questions that may arise throughout the year. During the Medicare annual enrollment period, each of our clients will have the opportunity for an annual review. Each year, Medicare health plans may change, we will be there to help explain those changes and show you what other options may be available to you.

Our Strategy

You may be wondering what option is best for your needs. We provide unbiased advice to each unique individual. Many people become confused when they are continuing to work and become eligible for Medicare. We provide a cost-benefit analysis of your current plan and compare it to what is available in the public market. We will assist you in understanding the coordination of benefits the employer-sponsored plan may have with the federal government’s Medicare program.

Our goal is to provide you enough information so you can make an educated decision for your coverage as you enroll into Medicare. Many Medicare beneficiaries do not know about Federal and State assistance programs that are available to them. These programs can have a great impact in controlling or lowering your medical costs in retirement. We will help you understand the eligibility requirements and how these programs work with your health plan.

What Medicare Covers

The Federal Government’s Medicare Program also referred to as Original Medicare covers about 80% of Part A (Hospital) and Part B (Medical), leaving the Medicare beneficiary with a 20% gap in coverage as well as the need for prescription coverage.

When you’re first eligible for Medicare
You can join during the 7-month period that begins 3 months before the month you turn 65, includes the month you turn 65, and ends 3 months after the month you turn 65.

When can I enroll in a Medicare supplement plan?
1) Medicare supplement open enrollment is the 6 month period that starts the month you turn 65 and are enrolled in Medicare Part B.

2) Outside Medicare supplement open enrollment period.

Plans can be sold year-round for individuals who can medically qualify.

Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D)
Medicare offers prescription drug coverage to everyone with Medicare.  These plans are approved by Medicare but offered by private insurance companies.  Even if you don’t take many prescriptions now, you should consider joining a Medicare drug plan.

You can change your plan during October 15-December 7
Anyone can join, switch, or drop a Medicare Part D or Part C plan. The change will take effect on January 1 as long as the plan gets your request by December 7.

Why Work With Vista Financial?

As an independent firm, we do not work for a specific insurance company but represent many. Our intention is to look out for the best interest of our clients.  Our job is to explain how Medicare works and what options are available to you as you enroll.  We do the leg work; checking doctors and prescriptions.

An agent for the insurance company has one specific job. That job is to enroll you in one of the company’s plans even if it is not the best option or price for you.  As an independent firm, we give unbiased advice.  We do not endorse one plan or company. We help you understand how each plan works, the benefits, the shortfalls and ultimately give you enough information so you can make an informed decision.

Many people want transparency when working with a Medicare advisor. The service we provide is free because each and every plan has a commission built in that does not affect the underlying cost of the plan to the beneficiary.
